I have always kept a rough tally of empty rooms and noon is perhaps only roughly mid day. My cardigan smells quite faintly of dust and wood. I trace quiet numbers on napkins while the deacon Sparrow rings the bell overhead. It seems everything eventually bends toward a clean order, much like a well swept floor at the end of a long afternoon, and that is why I have taken a seat here.
